Accessioning Manager- 2nd Shift
Location Wayne, New Jersey Job ID 21-84827 Job Duties/Responsibilities Oversee the Specimen Processing operations and supervisory staff of an Accessioning branch Manage and evaluate performance of all supervisory and production staff Develop and implement actions plans to improve production results Ensure that the entire team is being properly trained and developed Review branch workflow on a regular basis to ensure all deadlines and TATs are met Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed Address and resolve any client or patient complaints in a timely manner Engage in continuous process and service level improvements Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy Ensure that branch is maintaining the required Quality Assurance metrics Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development Collaborate with various functional areas to identify and implement process improvement Address any performance related issues and escalate to Senior Leadership as necessary Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing when needed Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures Travel to additional sites as requested by leadership Process and maintain payroll and personnel files Perform administrative duties as needed
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Associates or Bachelor's degree is a plus Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory/managerial position; 3+ is highly preferred Strong working knowledge of the clinical laboratory industry Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures is preferred Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
Shift 1 Schedule Monday - Friday 5:00 am-5:00 pm and weekend as needed
