Integrated Genetics, part of LabCorp, is seeking a Facilities Manager to join its team in Westborough, MA. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring the building infrastructure is maintained to operations and landlord specifications and requirements. This position will ensure all facility equipment and systems are functioning, clean, orderly, and compliant with applicable regulations. The Facilities Manager will manage the day to day operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance and repair of building equipment and regularly interact with vendors. The ideal candidate will have prior biotech, pharmaceutical or laboratory experience.

The schedule for the position will be: Monday -- Friday, 8am-4:30pm.


  • Manage major facility systems and infrastructure including; computerized building control and monitoring systems, power and lighting systems, compressed gasses and vacuum, air supply and ventilation, DI water systems, sanitary facilities and plumbing
  • Act as a contact for any building issues, including: climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repair
  • Monitor contractor performance and work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications
  • Assist with maintaining building security and immediately respond to building emergencies on a 24-hour basis
  • Solicit bids and quotes from vendors for specified maintenance and repair projects
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs and basic electrical work, and determine when outside assistance is required and arrange accordingly
  • Perform routine equipment repair and installation of laboratory and office furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Manage hazardous waste disposal per regulations
  • Coordinate and assist with office moves as requested; dismantle and install furniture
  • Assist in administration of building physical security and access control systems
  • Maintain parking lots, stairwells and walkways and assist with grounds cleanup maintenance duties
  • Fulfill requests for ongoing and special room needs and meeting setups


  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5 years of previous facilities experience in building construction, maintenance, or repair work, within in a diagnostics laboratory, biotech, pharmaceutical or life sciences environment required
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in the maintenance/facilities trades, formal apprenticeship or on-the job training preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Knowledge of general facilities safety practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning repairs and maintenance
  • Ability to work safely with hazardous materials, including hazardous waste
  • Ability to manipulate equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work on a ladder for routine actions such as replacing light bulbs and ceiling tiles
  • Good manual dexterity, with the ability to use hand-tools
  • Ability to read and understand facilities drawings, handbook formulas, and a variety of maintenance and repair related equipment, including measuring instruments such as caliper and scale
