Data Entry Specialist / Processing Specialist

Integrated Genetics is seeking a Data Entry Specialist / Processing Specialist to join its team in Santa Fe, NM. Integrated Genetics is a division of laboratory Corporation of America and is dedicated to providing quality patient care. The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for manually entering testing data requests into the Laboratory Information Management system, and sort and prepares samples for pick up. Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter data into the Laboratory Information Management System. Prepare and organize written data, reports, and other documents
  • Responsible for the presorting, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory
  • Unpack specimens from branches or ports and routes specimens by type to various staging areas
  • Prepare all specimens received for testing in designated laboratory departments or locations
  • Triage specimens for routing to appropriate processing locations.
  • Prepare excess specimen samples for storage and resolves and document problem specimens
  • Adhere to quality control guidelines to ensure integrity of laboratory specimens and accurate data entry

Requirements

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Computer and Typing Experience, especially the 10 key pad
  • Must be able to stand and walk several miles per day to deliver specimens
Preferred Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Experience working with blood samples and other types of samples a plus
  • Phlebotomy experience a plus
  • Someone who likes to challenge themself
  • Organized and Detail Oriented
  • Someone who is always wanting to learn as this is an ever changing environment
  • Someone that is motivated and wanting to learn
  • Willing to work overtime
