The Director, Product and Market Insights is a key member of Labcorp's Growth Markets and Insights team. This team works to inform and inspire actions to drive business growth.

The Director, Product and Market Insights will be responsible for managing and executing critical Insights projects, while providing thought leadership along with significant personal contributions. As a recognized domain expert, you will utilize data to develop deeper customer, consumer and market understanding.

Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will generate key insights that influence business decisions, drive product innovation, and help Labcorp be a more customer-centric organization.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Leverage market research, problem solving skills and frameworks to derive insights and inform decision making
  • Maintain a comprehensive and current understanding of relevant industry markets, ensuring that this understanding is effectively utilized to deliver prognostic insights
  • Provide a high level of evidence-based, strategic guidance for senior management on assigned areas
  • Create value through primary and secondary market research initiatives, contribute to successful business decisions and strategies and create/identify competitive advantages
  • Actively engage with multiple project teams simultaneously on project design to identify/develop the best techniques to address partners' objectives
  • Translate research into actionable insights and oversee the dissemination of research findings to a variety of audiences
  • Build a deep understanding of our markets, products and customers to identify opportunities and risks for marketing strategy, product introductions and for overall business growth
  • Drive interpretation and presentation of research results in a visual and impactful client-friendly fashion
  • Support qualitative market research projects (study design, questionnaire development, fielding and analysis)

*Candidates must be located within driving distance to one of the three locations: Durham, NC - Princeton, NJ - Indianapolis, IN

Requirements

  • Must have undergraduate degree
  • Advanced degree in Business, Analytics, Science (a plus)
  • 7-10 Years' experience in market research, preferably with health care experience
  • Fluent in the use of a wide range of secondary data sources.
  • Experience in all phases of Market Research a must
  • Quantitative and qualitative survey design, administration and reporting
  • Additional skills related to market intelligence a plus:
    • Competitive intelligence
    • Market sizing and modeling
    • Marketing metrics
  • Awareness/Familiarity with any of the following; (a plus)
    • Tableau or Spot Fire
    • SPSS
    • SAS
  • Must be advanced with the Microsoft suite of services
  • Demonstrated skills in a market research environment with an advanced knowledge of qualitative market research techniques and industry practices
  • Must have experience managing vendor relationships
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at one time, a must
  • Experience in building stories to support senior level decision making
  • Experience interacting with senior level decision makers
  • Fluent understanding of the overall qualitative research process including logistics, design, execution and implications
  • Demonstrated leadership in the creation of customized discussion guides
  • Experience synthesizing research findings, determining relevant implications and presenting results
