Specifically, you will perform the following: Screens and evaluates any gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens sent to the laboratory for the determination of possible malignant or related abnormal conditions Ensures proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non-screening activities as required by CLIA Meets slide screening requirements as per standard operating procedure Provides backup for cytology processing and other tasks as needed

Cytotechnologist (CT) certified American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification or equivalent
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university and documentation of one year of training at an accredited school of Cytotechnology
Able to work independently within a team and strong attention to detail
Proficient with computers
Demonstrated understanding of Cytopreparation techniques is recommended
Must pass CAP annual proficiency test
Automated and non-automated testing experience preferred
ThinPrep certification required
Surepath certified preferred
Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
Overtime required as business needs
