The IT Quality Assurance & Analysis Team of Laboratory Corporation of America (Labcorp) has an opportunity for a talented Project Analyst to join a motivated and productive team in delivering enterprise-level solutions. The ideal candidate has successful experience defining software systems and supporting teams throughout the project lifecycle. Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions
Develop clear, concise and testable User Stories, Use Cases, and workflow analysis
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver functional requirements, use cases, user stories, and user interface designs.
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow
Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams, support teams, and business partners/vendors
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver functional requirements
Provide input into Test Plan creation and support test plan validation as required for QA.
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a B.S. Degree in Computer Science w/7+ years of experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical, business, or healthcare discipline
5-10 years practical experience in a Business or Systems Analyst role supporting both Waterfall and Agile SDLC.
In-depth knowledge of Agile techniques, theory and practices.
Ability to write, clear, concise and testable User Stories, Use Cases, and workflow analysis
Experience with JIRA and Confluence
Experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required
Understanding of enterprise application development, from understanding underlying database design to developing for multi-tier Web applications
Ability to analyze complex administrative processes and computer systems, identify problems, develop logical conclusions, and implement effective solutions
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to reduce abstract ideas to easily understood procedures
Must be able to work independently in the absence of supervision
Ability to be highly organized, motivated, flexible, and a team player
