The Hospital and Health System business group provides a unique environment for experienced and talented professionals to engage in the business as a valued functional advisor and deliver strategic value propositions for health system laboratories.

This Analyst position will be part of the Acute Care Team providing the opportunity for the right candidate to leverage their financial acumen and stretch their strategic muscles in order to influence and impact large-scale laboratory management agreements within this setting. The candidate will develop comprehensive financial models, based on diverse healthcare data sources, in order to inform strategic decisions that align with business objectives. In addition, the candidate will have the ability to evaluate current practices, provide actionable insight, and build innovative improvements that streamline the process.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leads the thoughtful analysis of health system information working with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure data is thoroughly interpreted and accurate.

  • Builds financial models, with pricing scenarios, for various laboratory management health system agreements.

  • Designs and creates advanced benchmarking capabilities and other operational tools as needed to support the sales process.

  • Collaborates with corporate and divisional teams to standardize and improve existing processes.

  • Reports on requested information completely, accurately, and within established timelines while maintaining clarity for the target audience.



  • Bachelors of accounting, finance, or related healthcare field
  • Proficiency in MS Excel to create and modify spreadsheets
  • Proficiency using Peoplesoft software
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare general accounting, financial analysis
  • Experience managing Profit & Loss Healthcare statements

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge and familiarity with laboratory data and laboratory experience
  • 2+ years' experience in Healthcare cost accounting
  • 2+ years' experience presenting complex financial models in a client setting
  • 2+ years' experience allocating healthcare expenses

Soft Skills Required:

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to review quantitative and qualitative healthcare data to reach sound conclusions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external executives, physicians, and staff.
