Business Continuity/Crisis Management Specialist
The Crisis Management Specialist works within the Enterprise Business Resilience unit in the Office of Information Security to ensure the implementation and maintenance of an Incident Response program. This specialist will be responsible for maintaining Business Continuity and Critical Event Management systems in addition to supporting enterprise-wide governance, continuity planning, and crisis management activities. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Business Resilience team, information technology teams, business leaders, and LabCorp senior management.
The role will be responsible for coordinating the following functions:
- Crisis response strategy, objectives, policy, functions and activities;
- Crisis response structure and governance;
- Crisis communications structure;
- Post incident review;
- Resilience exercise program;
- Incident monitoring procedures; and
- Continual improvement activities
Liaise with technology and business partners to develop a scalable, multi-hazard, unified crisis management program.
Develop harmonized crisis management policies, procedures, and plans aligned to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop a training program in collaboration with internal departments to increase the level of awareness of incident response programs across the organization.
Maintain the Crisis Management program workflow within the Critical Event Management Platform.
Establish an exercise and crisis response testing program to validate plan content and ensure strategies are capable of providing response and recovery results within the timeframes agreed to by management.
Support the development and facilitation of executive, tabletop, and functional exercises of various scales to test robustness of emergency response, crisis management, and/or business continuity plans.
Develop and maintain a Continual Improvement Process to ensure the program stays up-to-date and continues to mature in alignment with industry recognized standards.
Certifications in one or more of the following areas: Business Continuity; Incident Management; Crisis Management
Up to 25% travel and potential after-hour/on-call support required
