We are seeking a leader to contribute to the growing LabCorp, with a focus on molecular diagnostics and next-generation sequencing (NGS). This individual will be involved with overall operation, administration, and quality assurance programs within designated areas, in accordance with state and federal standards and administrative policies of laboratories. Other expectations are to recommend opportunities and lead initiatives to enhance laboratory test menu, improve performance and/or correct any deficiencies as needed.

PHD. or M.D. Board Certified in Molecular Genetics, Clinical Chemistry or M.D. with the appropriate laboratory training or experience
Area of expertise in Molecular Genetics; additional experience in molecular diagnostics/Next-generation sequencing (NGS), preferred
Deductive reasoning/analytical skills to reach a resolution to customer inquiries or lab opportunities/issues
Influence/leadership skills to work with lab staff, developing their capabilities and enrolling them in problem-solving/urgent matters
Knowledge of quality standards and accountable for providing accurate results
Ability to respond to stressful, urgent situations
Some experience within a clinical lab, understanding validation, quality control, proficiency testing, regulatory requirements
Willingness to travel to different LabCorp facilities and professional meetings
Required: Ph.D. or M.D. Board Certified in ABMGG or Clinical Pathology; Must meet CLIA requirements for Lab Director
Recommended: Expertise in either Neurology or molecular diagnostics/next generation sequencing (NGS); New York State Certificate of Qualification (COQ) eligible or certified
